Metex Noovistago Europe (AANE) is the only producer of amino acids for animal feed in Europe, exclusively by fermentation. Amino acids are the essential building blocks of proteins. The AANE production site has been in Amiens since 1976. AANE represents 350 jobs. The amino acids intended for animal feed make it possible, with the joint use of cereals and vegetable proteins of French origin, to limit soya imports. These characteristics make AANE an important and established player in the bio-industry in France, positioned between the enhancement of agricultural production by transformation of carbohydrates (fermentation) and the improvement of animal production through a balanced protein diet and improvement of their environmental footprint.
